I began flying at the age of 18 and have logged over 19,000 hours. I attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida and graduated in 1977 with a BS degree in Aeronautical Science. After graduation I taught at Embry-Riddle and Hangar One in Birmingham, Alabama.
In 1979 I went to work for the Flight Department of the Westinghouse Electric Corporation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While there I flew the Rockwell Saberliner 40 & 65, Gulfstream G-IIB & G-III, and the McDonnel Douglas DC-9.
I was hired by Piedmont Airlines in 1986 and was based in Baltimore, Maryland flying the Boeing B-737-200. When the merger of US Air and Piedmont Airlines went through in 1990, I transfered to the Boeing B-737-300/400 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I then flew the Boeing B-767 and B-757 on the companies European routes before checking out as captain on the Boeing B-737-300/400. I currently fly the Airbus A-319/320/321 out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
